Science the week of Oct 13-17

1st grade:  This week we will use the IPads to examine the moon

2nd grade:  Students will learn more about gravity by finding out the speed and distance when we drop a ball

3rd grade: We will learn why we only see stars at night

4th grade: This week we will continue to work on our ecosystem dioramas.  We will spend the day researching our ecosystem and starting our shoe boxes

5th grade:  This week we will start our severe weather pamphlets

SDC: Students will be starting our new unit learning about the states of matter: solid, liquid, and gas

4th grade: Go to any of the links listed below and find your habitat for your diorama project.  BRING to science lab 1 paragraph of information about your habitat.

5th grade:  The same as last week, please click on the link above that says "5th grade severe weather."  Research your topic for your pamphlet and BRING at least 2 paragraphs of information to science lab class.  Please use the kid friendly search engine link (last one) if you are having trouble finding information about your severe weather topic.  Remember to focus on the 3 topics listed on the bottom of the page.
